The short 2mm diameter section reduces weight especially on the threaded side, the Ø start at the beginning of the thread, the rotating masses at the end of the spoke are reduced - benefits by braking and acceleration. The middle section 1,5mm is increased to 1,65mm which makes the spoke much stiffer. Please order nipples separately.
