Note from the manufacturer: "Filling a leaking air conditioning system with refrigerant / coolant, even for the purpose of leak detection, is not permitted. The leak must first be repaired before the system is filled with refrigerant / coolant (§3 Para. 3)." This means for the practitioner: A refrigeration or air conditioning system that is depressurized (without refrigerant) must bead breaker before filling with e.g. nitrogen or forming gas.
