With high-quality aluminium and steel frames, removing the headset bearing cups of common 1", 1 1/8" and 1.5" mm head tubes with the right tool is simple and doesn’t cause scratches. The remover is inserted through the head tube from above or below until the flared end slips behind the bearing cup. The cups are then simply driven out of the frame with a small hammer on the protruding end of the tool.A must have for any well-equipped bicycle workshop.
