If the combo or hybrid pedal had a slogan, it would be “the best of both worlds.” As the name suggests, this pedal has two sides—a flat side and a “click” side, i.e., the SPD system. The flat side of the CONTEC Melt is designed for MTB use and is therefore particularly mud-resistant. The other side is equipped with the SPD system, whose CrMo cleat features an adjustable release tension.The body of the Melt pedal is made of die-cast aluminum. It features a CNC-milled CrMo axle with a sealed industrial bearing and weighs 370 grams (as a pair).
