The increased number of balls in the sealed industrial bearings and the extended flange predestine the Sage for the hardest applications with high loads on the Control Unit. It provides precise and durable service even under extreme conditions. The sealed industrial bearings in the upper and lower Bearing Shells, each with 34 balls (Sage 1.5: 48 balls), promise the highest quality, durability and a low overall height. Thanks to the innovative Crankbrothers Directset system, there is no need for separate Bearing Shells and support cones. The Bearing Shells are also the running surfaces for the bearings' balls. The newly developed industrial bearings are pressed directly into the frame, further reducing weight and maintenance requirements. Installation height 20.56 mm (top: 10.53 mm / bottom: 10.03 mm), incl. Ahead Clamp and aluminum end caps, weight: 92 g (Sage 1.5: 219 g)
