Riding a clean bikeThe FAHRER "Cover" is as simple as it is efficient. It consists of a short piece of plastic tube that is flexibly attached to the Chain Stay with a strap. The tube floats on the chain and moves with it, making the "Cover" just as suitable for derailleur gears as it is for hub gears and e-bikes with a mid-motor. For just 22 grams more weight, this results in a trouser guard without compromising the look of the bike too much. In addition, the chain is protected from splashing water from the rear wheels, which reduces chain maintenance.
