Once the wheel’s dimensions have been captured, a simple push of a button triggers the transfer of the data to the software, which stores it before beginning to measure the imbalance. Without the need for a traditional measuring gauge, the operator no longer has to assume uncomfortable positions to record the dimensions inside the aluminium rim. This improves overall working comfort, performance, and efficiency. By simply moving the wheel, the lasers calculate the rim’s distance and diameter, while the AUTO SENSE sonar measures the width, enabling quick and precise identification of all parameters required to ensure proper wheel balancing. The laser pointer then also displays the exact position for attaching the self-adhesive balancing weights inside the aluminium rim. Any potential errors during weight placement are prevented by the electric Brake, which immediately moves the wheel into the correct position. The OWB (One Weight Balancing) function, which activates automatically upon completion of the measurement cycle, determines a single, optimal balancing plane instead of two. The laser pointer displays with pinpoint accuracy where the wheel can be balanced, thereby minimizing static and dynamic imbalance by applying a single balancing weight. Thanks to OWB, a 30% time savings can be achieved on 70% of wheels. Since the cause of wheel wobble is often not limited to imbalances, the machine performs a comprehensive runout test thanks to its integrated Anti-Vibration System (AVS). During a normal measurement run, the AVS Sonar determines the wheel’s radial runout with a measurement accuracy of 0.1 mm and delivers a precise result in just a few seconds. At the same time, Hubmatch identifies the point on the wheel with the greatest eccentricity and provides the operator with simple, guided steps to reduce it using only the hub bore and gravity.
