PRESTO Polyester Resin
1000g complete repair box, incl. hardener, glass-fibre mat and fleece (125 x 15cm)
Application:The damage area should be de-rusted, clean, dry, grease-free and sanded. Depending on the size of the damaged area, cut the enclosed glass fiber fabric that there is enough overlap. Remove the required amount of material from the package and mix well with the appropriate amount of hardener and process in one operation as follows:Coat the pretreated surface with resin and apply the fitted fiberglass material Apply evenly with a brush, starting at the edge and soaking again with polyester resin (fiberglass should not have air pockets). As a last layer, fiberglass fleece should be applied and topped, as a suitable surface for subsequent superstructures (a structure in several layers is possible). If the surface needs to be varnished, we recommend for further treatment with presto filling filler or presto fine filler. The sticky surface of polyester resin works as an optimal binding agent. However, this can also be washed off with nitro dilution if desired. Clean tools immediately after use, if necessary wash off with nitro dilution. Do not return mixed material to the can. After around 40 minutes, the repaired area can be drilled, sanded, sawed, filed and painted.
