To prevent the chain from dropping off-road with a 1:9 or 1:10 ratio, it is recommended to install a chain guide. The CONTEC chain guide "Brut" is the perfect solution for all MTB and cyclocross bikes with only one chainring.The chain guide is made of lightweight, ISCG05 CNC-milled and precipitation-hardened aluminium (AL 6061) and is therefore designed for tough off-road use. The weight is only 149 g. White, high-strength and low-friction nylon guides and sealed bearing rollers ensure safe, smooth chain guiding and protection against drops.The guide is suitable for chainrings with 32 to 38 teeth and is easy to mount by means of easily accessible bolts. A bottom bracket adapter and suitable washers are included if no ISCG mount is present. The chain guide is ideal for those who want to avoid chain drops in uneven terrain.
