It works!You can't get more 1970s retro than this! Back then, folding bikes had a market share of over 30 percent, and they never really disappeared from the roads. Folding bikes have been experiencing a revival for some years now, and there are even folding bike races. The "folding bike" from Excelsior has also been in the range for some time. Like the original models, it has a folding mechanism in the step-through of the steel frame to make it about half the size. Handlebars and saddles can be adjusted to the desired height or pushed in for transportation.Unlike most original folding bikes, however, the Excelsior model is available in two frame sizes. In 20 and 24, which corresponds to 40 cm and 48 cm. Apart from that, the "folding bike" has everything that is practical, such as the Carrier and Fenders. And everything that is required by law (according to StVZO), such as lights, brakes and reflectors. This is where the "folding bike" differs from the 1970s originals: V-brakes didn't exist back then, but they grip much better. And LED Front Lights or rear lights with parking lights had not yet been invented for bikes, but today they shine all the brighter and more reliably.Available as a single-speed version or with 3-speed Shimano Nexus hub gears with coaster.
