The engine cover is intended for use as a transport protection and must be removed before driving the bike. It does not prevent that the motor becomes wet, as it happens even in rain or bike cleaning, but avoids the direct impact of spraying water on the motor housing. The holes in the bottom of the cover are used for draining from above penetrating water.
