High performance for demanding triathletesThe "Transiro Infinito R1 Knit" is a high-performance triathlon shoe that features an innovative knitted upper for enhanced breathability. In developing a new premium shoe for its professional Ironman triathletes, FIZIK was asked to combine the stiff, race-oriented feel and excellent fit of its road shoes with a new design. This allows for quick and easy slipping in during transition as well as excellent comfort when riding without Socks. All this in a highly breathable, quick-drying construction: challenge accepted. The result: the "Transiro Infinito R1 Knit". This is one of FIZIK's most advanced designs to date. It uses all of the manufacturer's modern features in a knitted construction in which the ventilation is seamlessly integrated into the entire upper material. The "Knit"-upper materials from FIZIK are superior to traditional fabric or microfiber uppers. The shoe has different functional zones that have key performance areas such as ventilation slits and mesh openings for improved breathability. At the same time, the upper dries quickly when you put the shoe on with wet feet. To ensure efficient power transfer to the pedals, special areas of hot-melted PU have been integrated to support the athlete's foot where it needs it most. This construction ensures that the shoe has excellent ventilation. It is also extremely lightweight and still delivers the same support and pedaling performance as a conventional cycling shoe. The zonal fit adjustment using the "Volume Control" system with "Boa" connectors is quick and intuitive. Nevertheless, the shoe provides the feeling of a firm fit that triathletes need for a 112-mile ride. The "Volume Control"-system enables differentiated adjustment of the fit in the instep and forefoot area, the shape and volume of which can vary greatly depending on the rider. Thanks to the 2 separate "Boa" Twist Locks, triathletes can adjust the shoe to their personal foot shape and thus enjoy individual support and comfort. The volume of the forefoot area can be adjusted using the characteristic "Infinito"-function to adjust the fit. "Infinito" ensures a balanced, tight fit and also eliminates pinch points by using textile instead of plastic for the lace guides. This closure system works on a larger area of the upper and pulls the eyelets inwards evenly from all directions to achieve a supportive and comfortable fit. The individual adjustment to the arch of the foot is achieved by means of "Dynamic Arch Support" a part of the upper material specially designed for the plantar arch, which is adjusted with its own "Boa" Twist Lock. The highly rigid, unidirectional R1 full carbon outsole is tuned for maximum power transfer and features ventilation holes that direct airflow through the sole for efficient temperature control. The "Transiro Infinito R1 Knit" has a padded, flat collar for a smooth sockless entry and riding comfort. It is equipped with a rubberized heel loop to adjust and position the shoes when changing onto the bike.
