VICTORIA Electric folding bike "Fylgran 7" (#1)

The FYLGRAN 7 from Victoria is the perfect example of how the folding bike—which, thanks to its foldable design, has become truly versatile over time—has evolved. The typical folding bikes of the 1970s were simple models that folded up easily in the middle after loosening a Screw or lever. The advantage of this procedure was obvious even back then: the bike could be parked and stored in a much more space-efficient manner than any other conventional bike. With the advent of modern e-bike drive systems, even the models that were once simply constructed have undergone a technical revolution. The frames are designed with far greater complexity; numerous internally routed cables and wires must withstand the constant stress of hundreds or even thousands of folding cycles. In addition, the pragmatic “form follows function” approach is increasingly having to yield to the creative ambitions of the product designer.A prime example of this is the FYLGRAN 7, which—for the first time at Victoria—features a fully integrated Battery, resulting in a particularly clean design language. The advantages of a compact folded size—achieved by folding the main frame and lowering the Handlepost and pedals—are also fully realized here. To ensure that, like its FYLGRAN siblings, it remains truly—in a positive sense—unobtrusive in everyday use, it is equipped with a 5-speed hub gear and Straps. For practical use—such as during slightly longer sightseeing trips in unfamiliar cities—an additional Battery can be used (Bosch PowerMore 250 in combination with the Performance SX / CompactTube 400 system specified for the FYLGRAN 7).
