VICTORIA Electric SUV "AVYON 12" (#1)

If there were a list of optional extras, buyers of the “AVYON 12” would certainly be said to have checked off all the boxes. That’s because it really does come equipped with everything the top tier of component manufacturers has to offer. Want a quick example?The “AVYON 12” not only features the “Performance CX” drive unit and the PowerTube 750 Battery from the Bosch Smart System, but also the Kiox 300 color display and the brand-new Bosch Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). The latter is noteworthy in that ABS is currently featured on only three Victoria models from this year’s lineup.As a result, the SUV overlander segment is not only expanded with even more capacity but also enhanced with a crucial safety feature. This is because, especially when braking in curves on unpaved surfaces, the Front Wheel tends to lock up suddenly and unexpectedly. Thanks to ABS, any resulting falls are now a thing of the past. The air-sprung fork, which offers 100 mm of travel with responsive handling, provides additional safety at the front.Speaking of suspension: the seatpost is also equipped with a spring and serves a dual purpose as a so-called suspension dropper post. It can also be lowered, which makes dismounting easier since your feet can reach the ground more easily.Since derailleur systems are often used on SUV bikes due to their generally wider gear range, the “AVYON 12” features a Shimano “Deore XT” 11-speed drivetrain.The new eRuban SUV all-round tires from Continental, in turn, help extend your range thanks to their energy-saving tread. The taller shoulder knobs, on the other hand, provide the necessary grip on wet meadows and loose terrain.The 120 lux output of the LED Front Light allows you to extend your ride well into the dark. A special highlight: the Front Light features a high-beam function that can be activated at the touch of a button on the Handlebars, which significantly improves visibility at night.The “AVYON 12” is available in two frame versions. As with all new Victoria models, the Bosch PowerTube 750 battery—integrated into the down tube—can be removed from the top, which is much more convenient than removing it from the bottom. However, given the large capacity and the resulting weight of the battery, we recommend charging it directly on the bike whenever possible.
