Transporting Your Dog with the "E-Dog" cargo bikeThe new “E-Dog” is designed for you and your dog. Whether you’re riding on the road or heading out for a long walk in the woods, your dog can ride safely in the Cabin and arrive at your destination safely. Special Accessories for Dog TransportManufactured in Germany, the cabin measures 68 cm x 64 cm x 61 cm (L x W x H) and is designed for medium-sized dogs such as Border Collies or Labradors. The cabin features large windows, sturdy side walls, and a robust tubular frame. The fly screen is included. Drivers can keep a close eye on their best friend through the window. Dogs can lie in the Cabin on their usual pillow—or on an optionally available one. The CHIKE accessories line also includes rain protection and an extendable step for laid-back dogs. It can be stowed under the Cabin without rattling. On top of that, the Cabin offers enough space to handle even large shopping trips—and, of course, to pick up dog food! For transporting dogs, children, and other cargoTo ensure the dog can sit safely in the Cabin, the CHIKE’s tilting chassis can be locked in place and secured with a parking brake. As with the other CHIKE models, the gross vehicle weight rating is 200 kilograms. The “E-Dog” uses the same proven trike platform as the “E-Cargo” and the “E-Kids.” The tilting chassis and compact dimensions impress here as well with their natural handling characteristics. The “E-Dog” cabin can also be swapped out for the other body types. Technical Specifications of the “E-Dog”Hydraulic disc brakes from TEKTRO on all three wheels ensure precise deceleration. For propulsion, the SHIMANO “Steps E6100 CRG” mid-drive motor provides responsive thrust. The battery has a capacity of 504 Wh. Fine-tuning of the drives is handled by the SHIMANO “Nexus” Di2 hub shifter, which shifts through all 5 gears fully automatically and energy-efficiently. Intelligently, it automatically shifts to a low gear when you start off in start mode. The robust and virtually maintenance-free GATES strap rounds out the drivetrain package.
