Start the motor. OptiMate TEST recorded the lowest starting voltages and displays (for 20 sec.)3. Check the charging voltage of the generator and voltage regulator when the engine is runningTIP: Low charge voltage leads to bad battery performance. A high charging voltage leads to a lead-acid battery to excessive gas formation and damages it. High charging voltage at a LiFePO4 and lithium-ion battery causes strong damages.
