UV leak detection additive for vehicle AC systems
Very accurate and simple method to visualize the smallest leaks in automotive air conditioning systems. It is injected an ultraviolet dye in the A/C system. This UV agent is based on Ester oil and circulates with the oil through the system. At the smallest leaks it comes out and you can make it visible with a special UV lamp (not blue light bulb). Before entering, make sure that only solvent-free UV additives are used (SAE J2297 certified) and that the manufacturer's warranty has been respected.
Dosing: 7,5ml (for one A/C system with 1,8kg coolant R134a or R1234yf) or add 2% of the oil amount to additive (corresponds to approx. 33 passenger car applications)

Manufacturer note: When using PAG oils, make sure that the viscosity class is selected correctly (PAG 46, PAG 100, PAG 150). The specifications and approvals of the vehicle manufacturer must be observed. Furthermore, PAG oils are hygroscopic. That means, they absorb moisture from the ambient air and bind it to itself. Therefore partial oil containers are to close immediately and the remaining oil has a limited shelf life. This is especially true for fresh oil containers on the air conditioning service unit.

Application:
The spray gun should hang with its handle on the inner window side. The active substance is transported through the entire vehicle interior and into the air conditioning system by the running recirculation ventilation. The path that the mist should take can be specified by aligning the gun opening as well as by opening and closing the intake ducts or ventilation slots.
