Using an incorrect CDI usually leads to blow the main fuse. If an AC or DC CDI is installed can be determined as follows. Disconnect the battery, ignition switch, start with kick start. If the scooter starts to run, it is an AC CDI. If it does not, then a DC CDI is installed.
