Bolted bottom bracket are making a comeback on modern bikes under the label T47. Similar to BSA bearings, these bottom brackets are screwed into a thread in the frame. CONTEC offers a professional-level tool for the installation and removal of T47 bottom brackets. It is made of CNC-milled tool steel and has a mount for a 1/2 "socket wrench to be able to work precisely in the bottom bracket area. An exact fit is particularly important because the work on the bottom bracket is often associated with high torques and the tool must grip exactly in the intended recesses to avoid damage to the bearing shells or the frame. The CT T47 bottom bracket tool has dual sides for different T47 designs: 16 teeth - T47 Enduro / PF30 (outer diameter: 52.2mm) and 12 teeth - Chris King Thread Fit T47 & Thread Fit 30 (outer diameter: 50.4mm).
