What is small, black, and strong and comes from Italy? No, it's not the ever-popular espresso, but the products from Unibat. From 2024, Hermann Hartje KG will expand its portfolio for the two-wheel and automotive trade with the batteries of the traditional brand from Bari.
They are true battery specialists: Since the company's beginnings in the 1940s, the Annoscia family in southern Italy's Bari has focused on the production of mobile power storage for all applications – from two- and four-wheel vehicles of all sizes to the boat market and stationary use. Now, Unibat's offering is getting a new, strong partner: From January 1, 2024, Hermann Hartje KG will include Unibat products in its portfolio as the exclusive distributor for Germany.
This means the full-range supplier from northern Germany is adding an attractive brand to its product range for the two-wheel trade, as Unibat scores with a wide range of batteries for all needs in addition to a very good price-performance ratio: Standard lead-acid batteries can be found as well as products with AGM technology and advanced lithium-based power sources. Since the best quality is always delivered, Unibat is also active as an original equipment manufacturer for brands such as Ducati, Benelli, or Husqvarna, as well as an outfitter in motorsport, including the MotoGP team of Gresini-Ducati, which will be hunting for world championship points with the Marquez brothers in the coming season.
Good to know: In addition to batteries in the 12-V standard dimensions, Unibat also has the still widely used 6-volt batteries in the young and old-timer segment and also produces batteries in numerous special sizes. Additional information about the traditional manufacturer's offerings can be found at: www.unibat.it. The battery brands BS and Yuasa, which have been distributed by HARTJE for some time, will also remain in the wholesaler's range.
